TextStorm Development Basics

To develop for TextStorm you will need to know; PHP, HTML, CSS and MySQL using the PDO Connector to ensure you can understand, modify and create new code.

The main database object is stored inside a variable and is passed as $db to each function, including plugins, it is also accessible by schedules.

Constants are available to all code that includes the “includes/functions.php” script.

Functions can be access by instantiating the User class. This is often accessible through the $user variable pre-instantiated (this variable is passed to plugins, but is not available for schedules!)

View our Plugin Developer Documentation to get information on how to develop plugins.
